Budgies are a small species of parakeet originating from Australia. They are very hardy birds and with most being several generation in this country are well adjusted to our weather conditions. Despite being well tempered with their own kind, some people are successful with budgies in mixed aviaries. We do not recommend this at Riverside as they can be ill tempered, causing great damage to other birds. Budgies are an easy level bird for a beginners aviary, they have been bred in hundreds of different colour mutations. Here at riverside we breed standard budgies and crested budgies. All of our budgies are english variety but not show size. 

All of our budgies require visual sexing when caught up.
